Frequently Asked Questions -- by Keith

Are you guys a real band?

Yes, we are indeed a real band. I know that it seems like we never play anywhere and we haven't recorded much, but we do get together at least once a week and practice some songs. We're hoping to take the concert world by storm very very soon. Plus, we have three webpages, whereas some bands only have one. Therefore we are three times the band in that regard at least. Some bands have no webpage, so we are infinity times more the band than they are.

Where can I buy your album?

You can buy our album in a place called "the future". Seriously, though, we're hoping to record a big thing in 2006 and get it out.

How long have you been together?

Keith, Cliff, and Luke as a three piece got together at some point in 2005 for the first time. Since there are only three people in the band, we can pretend that everytime a new member comes in, it's really an entirely different band.

Your webpage looks like crap.

Okay, that's not really a question, but I'll address it anyway. I'm not a web designer, and everything on this page was hand-coded by me, which I think is pretty good, if I say so myself (since no one else would say that.) Plus, the page is all about function, so I don't use a small font like most cool websites because I think it's hard to read, and I didn't want a ten minute flash intro that's 14 megabytes to fancy things up.

How did the band come about?

I started this band at the behest of Isaac Calvage, who was a student in the youth group I worked with, and he stumbled upon my long-gone mp3.com page which had recordings I had done back in 2000 and 2001. He wanted to get together and play some of the songs, and I had wanted to get back into playing some original music, so he and I and another kid from the youth group, Nathan, formed The Keith Groover Power Trio and worked up some of those songs. I wrote a few new songs, and I found that I really liked writing songs for a band to play. The name of the band and it's members (besides me) eventually changed, and here we are two years later, and this goofy little project has morphed into a pretty good band, in my opinion.

I was looking through the archives, and you talk about The Keith Groover Power Trio. What is that?

Please, buddy, pay attention.

More to come, so stay tuned . . .
